that was the position for my first time and it was great--we used no lube and i had no pain. i've since found that to be the best position for me (sitting on his lap being second). the spooning position really doesn't work for me--even if it isn't painful, it's not particularly pleasurable either.
as for why anal is a good thing--lots and lots of nerve endings back there! plus there is just something "naughty" about anal...and naughty is
always good when it comes to sex!
