It can be a longshot but check with wrecking yards. Widen your selection a little and make weekly calls. You can often pick up a great deal on slightly used sets. We've purchased excellent quality tires (Toyo, Yoko, Michelin) for 10% or less of new price. I wouldn't go this route for a show vehicle or one that saw high speeds (out of paranoia) but our daily drivers don't have those problems.
