Various STDs differ in their infectivity. If they were truly warts it is likely a viral infection called Condyloma Accuminata (HPV). You ought to see your Gyn or Primary Care Provider for a PAP smear and pelvic exam. Not to put the fear of God into you but Condyloma can be associated with an increased risk of cervical cancer in the future. Infectivity isn't 100% but you ought to get checked out nonetheless.
If he had blisters or ulcers it could be a whole spectrum of other possibilities - most commonly Herpes which is very highly infective and stays with you for life. In fact people who are known to have one STD are at risk of carrying others at the same time - especially if you don't know the guy very well. Your doctor would probably run a standard screen for a whole panel of STDs including HIV. This isn't overkill and I'm not trying to scare you. I'm dead serious. I'd advise you get it done ASAP. It's better to have peace of mind than to constantly worry about it. Let us know what happens.
