Hmm tuff because certain guitarists do either really well. I guess I'll go with clean tones
On the same subject...
Less is more guitarists: David Gilmour, Prince, BB King, etc... who don't show off as much and just hold their notes
or
Shredders who like to show off a lil and jump all over the thing: Vai, Satriani, Buckethead, Vernon Reid, etc.
