Not sure which kind of eel you're talking about, but in Spain they served us an appetizer that looked like spaghetti...but each one had two black dots. Turned out to be baby eels...and I loved them.
Also tried alligator, tiger, bear, pig's stomach and snake, but you guys beat me to them
