So a few weeks ago I "accidentaly" smashed my old keyboard. Long story short, I got frustrated playing "FlatOut" and I kinda punched the center of the board and a bunch of keys and springs flew out. Whatever.
So I went out and bought a pretty nice LogiTech board to replace "old smashy" and took it home. The board is very nice and types really well, but it sucks for games. The trouble is that it only takes 2 commands at a time. A third simultaneous command to the keyboard is ignored.
IE: When flying a raptor in Unreal Tournament and I want to travel up, right and forward, I would use (and hold) the key combo (D+S+'Space'). This doesn't work on the new board.
So I need a new keyboard. I have poked around and there are a bunch of gaming specific boards out there, but I'm not really into that sort of thing. I just want a regular keyboard that is good for gaming and takes more than 2 commands at a time (at least 4 would be great). I have yet to find a single board online that lists this feature... none of them talk about simultaneous commands. I don't want to buy another one to find myself in the same boat, sure I can return it to the store, but that's a pain in the ass.
Any ideas? Would USB be be better or worse than a PS2 board?
