Well... the 9800 pro is a great card, but there are newer, better cards available, most of them still AGP; this includes the 6600, if I'm not mistaken. The 128 bit or 256 bit thing depends on the overall package. I suppose some 128 bit cards will beat the crap out of a 256 bit card...
Lasereth specifically mentions the 6600 as a very good choice; I gather it should be better than the 9800 pro in most cases.
But in the end, it really depends on what you have, and what you want. If you have an Athlon XP 2000+ with 256 megs of ram, you won't get the full benefit of even a 9800 pro, for example. It would be better to get a cheaper card and get more memory, or simply get a good card *and* extra memory (>200 quid total). And of course, if you only want to play solitaire, the extra speed of a GF 6600 won't mean a thing.
