i think there is a logical leap between observing intelligence, and saying that is a fundamental property of the universe.
if we were not here...would it still be present? that's the million dollar question.
from my standpoint, this seems like a familiar problem. My arguement for the existance of God runs from observation of an instance to inferral of a universal quality. I'm quite aware that it's not logically fool proof...it takes faith.
Seems to me that this is no different.
