"Everything Zen" not a Nirvana rip? "Tomorrow" not a Pearl Jam rip? sorry, you'll never convince me otherwise. sure Bush and Silverchair went in different directions after their first albums (and yes, there was some variety even on their first albums), but having the Nirvana or PJ sound is what got them on the radio. daniel johns of silverchair even straight up admitted that they probably listened to a bit too much PJ when writing Frogstomp... that can be forgiven of course, considering they were just 15 at the time.
silverchair has produced some impressive and varied stuff, but all of bush's experimentations with strings, electronic sounds, etc can't hide their crap songwriting
