As far as I know, they still haven't built in a handler for microsoft's "Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format" (TNEF) e-mails. This is the cause of those winmail.dat aggregated attachments.
Yes, I know there are handlers out there like fentun, but the reality is a large portion of the world uses Outlook and a mail client without a handler for mails from them is rather unworkable.
