Jaywalking isn't something you get in trouble for...
You can drink a beer in a park without any problems, which I understand you can't do in the states (opened container).
DON'T drink and drive... You'll get raped in prison for that... I can't emphasize this enough.
Always have your passport on you if you run in trouble... Just being an US citizen (I'm afraid it's true) will get you off the hook sometimes.
