Location: Vancouver, Canada
Berlin is a long way from Frankfurt but worth the visit. East Berlin is great - and inexpensive. West Berlin is boring and expensive. (IMO, of course) Frankfurt is close to wine country and the French Alsace. Lots of big castles around too.
