This is the theory in most hospitals, actually. If a health care worker is stuck with a contaminated needle they come to the pharmacy for some emergent doses of anti-virals. If the body is fully prepared the virus can be eliminated before it gains a foothold in the immune system. It's all theory, however. The only way to test it is to give people large doses of the medication and let them have unprotected sex or inject them with the virus directly. Not really ethical.
