I read about this a couple weeks ago, then heard a report on the radio. Man, all I can say is What's The Point?!

I've also seen a lot of commercials lately about food being big enough to make you feel full, as if jus thaving a meal is no longer enough.

Food portion sizes have doubled in North America over the past couple of decades, led by such things as 7-11'a Super Big Gulp (why drink only 1 litre of pop when you can drink two for only 2 cents more?!), and McDonald's Super "Value" meal (which means the regular size isn't a value, go figure), and I could go on.

No wonder the U.S. boasts the highest per capita number of overweight and physcially unfit persons in the entire world.

I'm not saying everyone should just eat salads, but by saying that this monstrosity is okay "in moderation" is like saying the occasional snort of coke is a moderate choice, or a trip down your interstate ocassionally at 150 mph is using the gas pedal moderately.

Living large is just a figure of speech, not to betaken literally.

Take it down a notch, resist the urge to be a gluttonous mound of consumption and think about yourself and your society.

Peace,

Pierre
