Im sure many of your cities (in the US anyway) has a form of Festival of Trees this time of year. Atlanta has been doing it since I was a child.

The Festival of Trees, Atlanta’s premier holiday event, benefits Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Visitors can stroll through 154,000 square feet of decorated trees, wreaths and decorator vignettes created by the city’s top artists and designers. The Festival also features magnificent gingerbread houses, an assortment of specialty shops, a special venue of handmade dollhouses, and an array of children’s activities. Our main stage features continuous live entertainment and attracts people of all ages.
This extraordinary event has become a tradition of Atlanta’s holiday season while raising much needed money for quality services and facilities for children at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Its a great fundraiser each year for Children's Hospital...
And Im proud to say that my 11 year old daughter will be dancing with her ballet/pointe group (yes she's so good she was put on pointe early) on a stage in front of hundreds of people tonite.
I'm so proud of her I could cry....and I know I will...everytime that child gets on a stage I use a box of kleenex. Thank god she doesnt have her mothers non-grace....I myself walk into a wall at least once a day
