im not really a fan of screaming metal which unfortuneately is most of what todays is ;/

the last few are industrial metal, you didnt really mention what kind of metal your into (im assuming your just trying to get all you can and then get your tastes?)

iron maiden
and you may or may not like slipknot (im neutral on listening to them)
if you want to branch out to a little more "drugged" style hardrock/metal you could try monster magnet (the older their album the more crazed the music)
for grungish type metal there is alice in chains and soundgarden
and thats all i can think of for now
