Unfortunately, it is while I'm driving that there is a little bit of smoke. Not a lot, mind you, but enough to have made me notice. However, I haven't owned it for 1000 miles, so I can't really tell you how much oil it goes thorugh/eats in that time. However, in the ~750 miles I've owned it, I've had the oil changed once and added a half-quart yesterday.
