Absolutely the formula for success. Learn from your experience and work hard, work smartly, and continue to educate yourself.
At one point in my life I worked for a division of public works for a local municipality. My "job" was to go around to the public parks and clean the restrooms, haul trash, etc. It was a clearly a motivation for hitting the books. Educate yourself and keep that positive, can do, will do, must do, bias for action attitude and you'll be rewarded.
