I've read up to the middle of the Carnivorous Carnival, and sorta got distracted. Probably would take only an hour or so to finish it, but just haven't gotten back to it yet.
Definitely looking forward to the movie. I'm glad a big name like Jim Carrey is in it and he really looks the part of Count Olaf, but he's just so damn teddybearish that I hope his performance doesn't end up undermining what an evil murdering sumbitch Olaf is.
Not to be a purist, but I'm wondering why they did away with Klaus's glasses. They're something of a plot point in the Miserable Mill, and if they continue covering three books a film they'll have to work around that in the next one.
