That's so true. An abused woman won't be shocked by this. She lives it.
And also the comment about abusers being out getting drunk, some drink of course but most present very upstanding, normal faces to society. They aren't the fat slobs at the bar. They are your neighbors. The guy at the bank or whose kids play ball with yours. He's a great guy...nice, easygoing...unless you live with him.
