These TV spots are well done but I'm not sure they would have much shock value. We are inundated with much worse violence in the media all the time. The only reaction I had when I first saw it was how silly it was in the business environment or restaurant.
I also don't think it will shock the older kids too much either. Played any of the first person shooter video games lately?
I often wonder how these abusers get away with it. If the women getting abused have fathers and/or brothers, one would think the guys beating their daughters or sisters would not last very long.
I guess anything that will help convince abused women to leave and not accept their circumstances is good, so they should go ahead and run the ads.
