Clearly, most women find other women beautiful, and even arousing. Most women are comfortable being affectionate with other women, even if they feel totally hetero. So a FFM scene isn't just two one-on-ones with a common person in the middle and the other two all focussed on that one. But a MMF is like that, unless the guys are bi, and there are relatively few women who'd want to get into a scene with two bi fellas. (Think of the risk)
I think women do feel competitive about who's sexier, or has better boobs and whatever. But if they can get comfortable without clothes around one another, then sharing a man isn't a strain for them. Conversely, men are much more likely to be comfortable naked together, but far more competitive about time with the woman, who's pleasing her more, etc.
One last point. Women really do have more influence, if not control, of the sexual relationship they have with their SO. So the woman has to agree to or want the threeway. As I said at the beginning, most women find other women rather attractive, even more attractive than men. Once they feel confident of a man in their lives, then they would be comfortable enjoying a woman too, as long as they don't feel that it threatens their primary relationship with their man.
Still, I agree with the one who suggested that a double couple, MFMF manage' would seem best. Just think of the combinations and visual stimulations.
