I totally agree. IT had a small following of loyal watchers, much like Dr. Who, and mostly for the same reasons. It was intelligent, not as action filled as the overproduced, and over-acted (and badly acted!) Battlestar Galctica which was on around the same time, and the writing was witty and clever.
The people who watched it loved it, those who didn't either never did, or didn't see that attraction. It was a ground-braeking show.
As for an actual moon colony, I can't see that it will ever get passed the robot/rover stage because of the prohibitive costs and the minimal financial returns. Liek it or not, the world economy is coming to that. Maybe they can put a Hilton up there (the hotel, not the anorexic sleazy model) and get people to visit, that might work. In fact, maybe send Paris Hilton and see who follows, that might be the financial boost they need, but without and good clubs up there why would she go? But I digress...
