forgive my ignorance...but i don't see any differnence in the tension between the goals of:
"Complete social dissociation is not the goal here" vs. "a successful Halist is in fact in a world of his or her own. Everyone else is just a fuckin guest."
and
"be yourself" vs. "be like everyone else."
I guess i see the same inherient tensions in both sets of concepts... your thoughts?
