Devil/Symbolism Question
Greetings Everyone,
I have a question for The Collected Wisdom found on this board. I just finished watching Beat The Devil (BWM Short Film. Best $4 DVD in the history of the world) and in it The Driver asks to see Mr. Eckman (The Devil played brilliantly by Gary Oldman). Why Eckman? Is there a meaning there that I am missing? I seem to have a blind spot in my symbolism net as I completely missed (and still ashamed of) the fact that Robert DeNiros name in Angel Heart was Louis Cyphre. Does anybody know anything and can shed some light on this or is it merely just a name pulled out of a hat? Thanks for any info or suggestions.
