I picked this router and PC card up from staples for $20(I couldn't resist the deal), and just got it working with my iBook. I didn't need to use the wireless card included, so I can't tell you much about it. Here are some impressions of the router.
I've hooked up four wireless networks before this one, so I guess I consider myself pretty knowledgable. Getting this router to work was the most difficult that I have experienced in the past. The smart configuration somehow thought that I had a static IP address, which is incorrect. I had to manually change the setting to Dynamic. After tinkering with multiple settings, I got the wired portion of the router to work. It took me about 45 minutes to get it up and running.
The wireless portion of the router works great. I had no problems connecting to it using my iBook with built in airport card. Its very fast, and the range is great. I can go anywhere in my apartment and get a great signal.
The router has good security features, such as WPA that work just fine. I've only been using it for a few minutes, but it hasn't dropped yet. My old Netgear MR814 dropped its WAP all the time.
The router looks great, and doesn't take up much space which is nice
As far as the wireless PC card goes, I've read a lot of user reviews that say that it has compatability issues with Windows XP v2. There is a beta patch available from netgear.
