I live in Eastern Canada. We have a power grid that is designed to operate in typical Eastern Canadian conditions...snow,wind,rain,freezing rain,and more snow. We don't lose our power very often but when we do it's a big one that can last for days. Just recently, a couple of weeks ago, we had our first winter storm that knocked out the powerfor tens of thousands of people for the better part of the week.
