It might go out once or twice a year around here, mainly from falling trees during a storm.
I used to live in a part of the world that had one or two outages a day anywhere from 4-8 hours. I bet we averaged over 400 blackouts a year. We didn't use any type of digital clock in the house and we didn't open the fridge unless absolutely necessary.
