I was just through there at the end of October. Drove through to go to Orange, down to Cowra, then back through the Blue Mountains on the scenic route past Jeloan Caves (can't remember the right name). Wasn't hot there when I was through though, lotta rain. Had one hot day when I was on Manly beach which was fantastic. Love it in Oz, can't wait to get back again.

Apparently in Oz, "root" is a slang term for sexual intercourse.
Sort of like, "He threw a root into her"

I don't think you've got the proper use down there. I believe it to be more like "I had a good root last night" or "She really likes to root" I have some Aussie freinds that get a laugh outta the Roots brand as well. They come to visit and always pick up some shirts to take home.
