No, not really near wine country. We are about an hour west of Sydney. We are part of the great dividing range, that is like a mountainous range that travels down the side of the country. When you see bad bushfires on tv, its usually up here where people get burnt out. Lots of bush, very dry. Plenty of wildlife (and thats just the people).
