I use plugs all of the time. I know I've lost a bit of my hearing already and I don;t want to lose any more. It's especially noticeable to me in my right ear.
I use the basic foam plugs we have in dispensers on the production floor at work. It kinda sucks that they are flourescent swirly colors, but they do the job. Sometimes I get self-conscious about wearing some bright orange and green earplugs, but I guess it beats the alternative.
