Unfortunately, Bungie said they weren't going to put their patch on discs, so you'll need Xbox Live if you need that tv fix thing for Halo 2.
It took ages for OXM to put the Splinter Cell missions on disc, hopefully they are more experienced and could get other content on straight away.
