Just for the record, Baylor is ranked ahead of Mississippi, Mississippi State, and Kentucky on collegebcs.com. Alabama is ranked 53, behind such powers as Memphis, Northwestern, Southern Miss, and BYU. Subjectively, though, a victory over Alabama seems far greater than a similar victory over "hapless" Baylor.

Also, take a look at the strength of schedule-
OU is #9; Auburn is #70. The difference between this ranking and the strength of schedule posted by irateplatypus above is due to the fact that officially, the Citadel game doesn't count against Auburn.
