I doubt it is a blockage as the engorgement would be very painful for her. My wife's production slowed down very fast and was done within a week. She noticed right away. While it may not be what you wanted for your baby but at least she got 7 months of breast milk. That is when the breast milk has the most impact in her development, especially for vitamins and her immune system.
