If she's going to shave, make sure she gets a good quality razor, not those disposable ones. I use a men's Gillette as I found the women's razors weren't near as good.

It helps to trim the hair short before shaving. It's best to shave wet with lots and lots of lather. Some people prefer to shave dry with lots of baby powder. However, talc has been linked to ovarian cancer if I remember correctly and it's not adviseable to use it there a lot.

As for bumps, if you shave every two or three days instead of everyday, you will get less irritation and bumps.

ALWAYS use a sharp razor. When it begins to get dull, you'll get more bumps.

For ingrown hairs, it's good to exfoliate your skin between shaves with a sea sponge or something else to get rid of dead skin.

But if waxing works for her, I think that's probably her best option. For myself, waxing in that area makes me cringe. No thanks, I have trouble enough getting my brows done!!
