I don't know how people confuses they're/their/there. Actually, for me, I think I remembered it at first by saying: their has an 'i' in it, which looks like a person, which must mean it's something to do with people!
They're is just they are, how hard is that? It's like filling in the blanks!
I also hate people who say thin*g/k* instead of thing. I've noticed Simon Cowell does this...
Affect vs. Effect... Geez, you don't even pronounce them the same way.
And this is something I do that drives one of my friends crazy. I have a habit of saying bought when I mean brought, I do that on purpose sometimes just to piss her off...
