Well me and my roomate have been working on a project for a little bit. Its a 1994 mazda protege with a 1.8L DOHC engine. He ordered a turbo manifold, ignition box and we pulled a turbo off a a 1992 Ford Probe with the 2.2L engine in it. We have it pretty my much planned out (coolant lines, oil feed etc) The questions we have are with the vacuum system. On the turbo on the exhaust side there is a valve the if you apply boost is opens a valve and dumps some of the incoming exhaust straight into the the downpipe. How should the be hooked up. Also on the factory car there was a solenoid valve that i'm not sure how it was hooked up or what it did, any idea? Also there is a little vacuum fitting on the outlet side of the intake portion of the turbo what does that go to? should it go to the vacuum port on the ignition box? Also there is a bypass valve that goes inbetween the throttle body and intercooler how do i hook up vacuum to that?
