General: I choose to play as a Night Elf Warrior and I got to level 20 (I just played on the Open Beta) and I am not sure what I am going to play in the retail version. You can use the current installation for retail! You'll just have to use the CD-Key for account authentication.
Play whatever you want. I'm making a Night Elf Priest, Night Elf Warrior (maybe Rogue instead), and maybe another undecided class. I've played a priest to 32 and a warrior to 16 and still have desire to play both.
