He's probably in small part refering to a rapper named Jin who is poised to start making some noise on the hip hop scene. As you probably already know there's a rather sizeable collection of young Asian Americans who have co-opted the hip-hop lifestyle and intermingled it with their own culture.
Look him up he's not half bad. Not the greatest but pretty good.
