This is a fun topic. I wrote a paper on ethnicity in the movies, and yes, the vast majority of main characters in Hollywood are white, with blacks at second (likely due to the whole slavery issue and all that, as well as powerful black lobby groups), and latinos at a pretty distant third. Don't worry though, the Asian invasion should be well on its way thanks to the new Asian hip-hop gangsta culture making its way into the US.
