I can't stand "Buck up little beaver" or "In any case", although to my horror I've found myself saying both on the rare occation! It also drives me nuts when someone says "irregardless".

I respectfully suggest renting the movie "Valley Girl" with Nicholas Cage (IMHO one of the best movies ever for my generation (the tag Gen-X, though I can't stand it). The language you're suggesting originated with Friends came into being long before Friends ever hit the air.
I'm 33 and when I was 12 I had a night shirt that said "Gag me with a spoon", "Fer sure", "Like no--yah!", and many other euphemisms that made up the language of '80's youth. No other point, just wanted to set the record straight as to '80's speak. Oh and, "Vally Girl" really is a must see if you want a feel for the era of the '80's! (Lot's of others also, just suggesting this movie as an example because of what you said about "like totally"). Some other's might be "Pretty in Pink", "Breakfast Club", "Some Kind of Wonderful". O'kay, I'll stop 'cuz no one asked, just felt like suggesting some great flicks (although I'm sure they'll seem out-of-date to the youth of today!).
