Just visited family in Boston in September, and am going to try to make it a habit to visit once or twice a year. It is an awesome city, and the complete antithesis to southern California, where I live, which is refreshing to me. Did go to Landsdowne Street and played pool and drank at Jillians, though I wouldn't think it would pop off as much if there wasn't a Sox game that night.
