No, it's not. Secrecy and separation from family and friends, mind rape, psychological manipulation and abuse, thought reform, behavior modification, and the demand of dangerous or abusive practices do not just fall into the category of "someone else's beliefs."
When you need an exit counselor to "de-program" you, you were not just brushed with the beliefs and values of an arbitrary group of "believers."
