I'm self-taught. I've been painting for about ten years. The Hebrew words mean unleavened bread, matzo, I’m guessing. The symbolism of Judaism in the painting signifies us (my sister and I) as women, wild at heart, but anchored to tradition by our family roots, even though we are nothing like them.
The chaotic silver spoons in the corner signify the chaos in our lives, even though we grew up in a wealthy family, the spoons were nowhere near our mouths.
