Adding to the mix: I logged in to my hotmail (for the first time in a month) and also had the 250 MB of space... maybe it's a user thing? I've had this account for about 5 years now and never changed it, so maybe that has something to do with it
I know I sure as hell wouldn't pay for extra space, I have another account I use primarily because my hotmail gets too much spam.
