You'd think that mentality would be gone... I haven't bought a car recently, but I did go looking for new furniture -- and was pretty much ignored in the furniture store (couples were not ignored) When I did wander to the counter for some help, I was asked if my husband would be joining me... I promptly left the store after delivering a piece of my mind.
