What type is she looking for? Something flashy? Something with good MPG? Would you prefer to stay away from all American cars after your experience?
When most people hear "reliability" they think Japanese, but depending on who you ask they may be throwing the baby out with the bathwater. There are a lot of good Euro and American vehicles out there and 12,000 is a pretty reasonable budget that includes tons of possibilities!
