Tip of pony-tail into liquid nitrogen
This past Friday in my Chemistry workshop class we went into a lab to mess around with some liquid nitrogen, under the supervision of our TA of course. We put lots of stuff into the doer, like leaves, a spongebobe squarepants keychain plush doll, a stainless steel keychain, gum, a balloon, and lots of other crap. After stuff had sat in there for a while we'd take it out and break it. We also poured some liquid nitrogen into a large glass container and fitted an extremely elastic balloon over the cover and watched the balloon become full of nitrogen gas. We weren't sure if the nitrogen gas would exert enough pressure on the inside of the balloon to actually cause it to rupture, so we just let it sit there for a while. Eventually the balloon did pop and it scared the shit out of us because it popped REALLY loud. So after everything was said and done and everyone went to their next class, me and this chick stayed behind to chat with our TA for a bit. We helped him clean up the mess we had made due to breaking all kinds of things. We wanted to try a few more things out though before dumping the nitrogen and our TA joked that she (the chick who had also stayed behind) should try dunking the tip of her ponytail into the nitrogen. She actually tried it! She left it in the nitrogen for about a minute. Her hair didn't become brittle but water from the atmosphere immediately condensed and made icicles on her hair as soon as she pulled her hair out. Our TA kept saying that he was just joking about the suggestion... well anyways... I thought it was rather awesome that she actually dunked her hair into the liquid nitrogen. It piqued my interest. It's not like I became rigid or anything, but as I said, this did arrouse my interest. Am I alone in this? Would any other male (or possibly female) here find a girl who is cool enough to dunk her hair into nitrogen interesting? ^^ I don't plan to ask her out or anything so I didn't think it appropriate to post this in tilted sexuality.
