There could easily be compromise if the northern liberal elites would quit looking down on those of us living in the south like we're backwoods morons. We just live a simple life. We love our families and we believe in God. We think marriage is something that God gave us, not something the government gave us to give us a tax break or insurance benefits or to shelter our personal property when we die.
