[Access]/[SQL] Automatically filling a field
Hey guys, I need to ask a (hopefully) quick question. I'm trying to set up a form so that data from a user's input in a text box will automatically go into another text box after the user has input it into the first text box. What I'm trying to get done here is input the VIN of a vehicle in one text box, and then the last 6 digits of that input will go into a text box on that same form. Is this possible without involving another table or creating a field on that same table, or creating a subform?
Thanks in advance for any help that can be given.
P.S. I have another question. As usual. How can I set a query's input field to be limited to a certain number of characters, or a certain type of input (alpha/num)? As in, a user can only input so many characters in the query or the user gets an error message, as opposed to no results showing.

The password is "Who are the Patriots?" and "La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo." "La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo." Gotcha.
